Boeing Launches Longest-Range Business Jet Ever with BBJ 777X
Airplane can connect virtually any two cities in the world
Boeing Business Jets also announces new order for its best-selling BBJ MAX

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing Business Jets (NYSE: BA) today announced it is launching the BBJ 777X, a new Boeing Business Jet model that can fly more than half way around the world without stopping, farther than any business jet ever built.
"Our most exclusive customers want to travel with the best space and comfort and fly directly to their destination. The new BBJ 777X will be able to do this like no other airplane before it, redefining ultra-long range VIP travel," said Greg Laxton, head of Boeing Business Jets, at the bi-annual Middle East Business Aviation Association Show (MEBAA).
Customers can choose between two models: the BBJ 777-8 and BBJ 777-9. The BBJ 777-8 offers the longest range of 11,645 nautical miles (21,570 km) and a spacious 3,256 sq. ft. (302.5 sq m) cabin.
The BBJ 777-9 provides an even larger cabin measuring 3,689 sq. ft. (342.7 sq m), while still offering ultra-long range of 11,000 nautical miles (20,370 km). This model opens up almost unlimited interior design options to ensure ultimate comfort for long distance travel.
To demonstrate the versatility of the airplane's spacious cabin, BBJ unveiled interior concepts from three leading design firms: Greenpoint Technologies, Jet Aviation, and Unique Aircraft Design. Each concept shows how the BBJ 777X can be transformed to suit the tastes of any VIP customer.
The strength of the BBJ fleet of airplanes was highlighted at the air show as Boeing announced it recently booked another order for its BBJ MAX family. The order from an unidentified customer brings total orders for the BBJ MAX to 21.
Based on Boeing's best-selling 737 MAX airplane, the BBJ MAX offers more than three times the cabin space as most of its competitors, a lower cabin altitude, and the ability to fly 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 km).

>>> ASML might be interested in taking over Mapper Lithography

ASML might be interested in taking over Mapper Lithography (translated)
21 DEC 2018
ASML Holding NV (NASDAQ: ASML) might be interested in taking over Mapper Lithography, reported Dutch BNR News Radio, citing ASML CEO Peter Wennink. The CEO said it is important that the technology of the distressed chip machine maker Mapper is retained for the Netherlands in response to the news that Mapper has requested an extension of payment.
Wennink soon wants to talk with the board of the Delft based technology company. He said it is a good technology company, the Dutch government spent a lot of money on it, and it employs some very good engineers.
Mapper and ASML both make machines with which chips can be made, but they work on a different technology. ASML machines use ultraviolet light to print chips, Mapper has been working since 2000 on a machine that writes chips using electron beams.
The technology is fundamentally different, Wennink remarked. But he wants to look at how he can keep Mapper's technology in the Netherlands and further develop it.
Mapper managers said before that they preferred their company to be taken over by ASML. But those advances were rejected.
Mapper's CEO, Bert Jan Kampherbeek, responded surprisely to Wennink's offer to come and talk. He still knew nothing, and did not want to comment, Dutch daily Het Financieele Dagblad reported.
Mapper certainly received € 31 million in innovation credits from the Dutch government over the years. The Mapper 2016 annual report showed that the Ministry of Economic Affairs wanted to recover these credits. A spokesman for the ministry did not want to say on Thursday whether this had happened, or whether the parties had come to a different agreement, the FD report said.
Mapper employs 240 people. According to industry experts, there would be a lot of interest in the technology from the United States. With the machine of the Delft researchers, chips can have an individual characteristic, which would be interesting for the defense industry and for digital security.

elepizza shareholder KKR mulls delisting offer - reported rumour

Telepizza's [BME: TPZ] main shareholder KKR [NYSE: KKR] is considering a take-private offer, El Confidencial reported citing market sources.
Late on Thursday (20 December), the Spanish market regulator announced that trading in shares of Telepizza was suspended, pending relevant information.
KKR, which holds more than 26% of Telepizza’s capital (valued at about EUR 126.4m), plans to delist the Spain-based pizza restaurants operator, according to the report.
Telepizza and Pizza Hut announced on Wednesday they had sealed a strategic alliance and a master franchise agreement to accelerate growth in Spain, Portugal, Latin America, Andorra, Switzerland and the Caribbean. The Spanish multinational aspires to open more than 2,500 restaurants in 20 years, double its current level.
Expansion reported that KKR will have the support of Artá Capital, which will invest EUR 30m to EUR 40m, and other funds. The Spanish-language paper cited sources close to the process and financial sources. Artá Capital is a venture capital management company backed by the Spain-based financial entity Grupo March. At least another Spain-based family office will take part in the offer, Expansion added.
El Economista also reported that KKR is considering a takeover offer for Telepizza.
Telepizza's market capitalisation stands at EUR 485m, after its stock rose 7.45%, to EUR 4.83 before being suspended by the CNMV.

Asian stocks fell and Japanese equities dropped deeper into a bear market, with regional shares on course for the worst week since October. U.S. futures slipped after shares fell overnight.
Renewed U.S.-China tensions and concern about a partial American government shutdown added to the laundry list of negative narratives in the wake of the Federal Reserve proving less dovish than investors had hoped this week. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index may see its fourth decline in six sessions Friday. Benchmarks fell in Japan, China, Korea and Australia. Crude is up on the day, but still down about 10 percent this week. Treasuries were steady.
