Air Berlin could be fully acquired by Etihad

Air Berlin, a German airline, could be fully acquired by its minority partner Etihad, Rheinische Post reported. The German daily cited unnamed industry experts who said a full takeover by Etihad is a possibility.

Air Berlin yesterday announced it is currently in advanced discussions on options, which, if implemented, would have a substantial effect of the company. As such, the company postponed its annual press conference as well as the analysts and investors conference from 20 March to 27 March 2014.
