Deutsche asset management IPO ‘unlikely’ in 2017
The listing of Deutsche Bank’s asset management division is “unlikely” to happen before the end of the year according to chief executive John Cryan
Deutsche said in March that it would list its asset management unit – raising about €2bn – at some point over the next two years.
“We continue on track to list our asset management group,” Mr Cryan told analysts on Deutsche’s quarterly earnings call on Thursday, adding:
Precise timing will be influenced by market considerations and by the need to obtain final regulatory sign off. It’s therefore unlikely that we’ll proceed with an IPO this year.
