Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Telecom Italia executive held
preliminary talks with Vivendi’s management on a possible merger
between the cos.’ Brazilian units Tim and GVT, O Estado de S.
Paulo reports, citing an unidentified person involved in the
situation.

* Tim, Vivendi declined to comment, O Estado says
