Pfizer Considers Last-Minute AstraZeneca Bid Hike: Sunday Times

May 18 (Bloomberg) -- Pfizer is considering a last-minute
higher bid for AstraZeneca, Sunday Times reports without saying
where it got the information.
* In discussions with Department for Business on increasing
length of commitment to keep research facilities in U.K. to
10 yrs from 5 yrs
* NOTE: Pfizer bid GBP50/shr for AstraZeneca that was
rejected, has until May 26 to make formal bid or walk away
* Is “almost inevitable” Pfizer will offer more, Times says,
citing unidentified sources close to AstraZeneca
