GE Signals Openness on Terms of Alstom Deal in Talks With France

May 29 (Bloomberg) -- GE says it’s flexible on terms
of $17b bid for Alstom’s energy business while discussing deal
with French govt.
* GE “feels good about the direction” of the talks, Vice
Chairman John Rice says in interview in Rio de Janeiro, a
day after CEO Immelt promised President Francois Hollande to
create
1,000 new jobs in France
* “We are still discussing different aspects of our proposal,
the French government is working on how it sees the nature
of the deal and we are prepared to be flexible:” Rice
