US Market closed lower as investors continued adjusting their expectations for the speed and path of interest rate normalization (Fed's Dudley - one of the most dovish voters on the FOMC - confirmed that June is a live meeting for another rate hike). Four sectors finished above their flat lines with countercyclical utilities (+0.9%) and consumer staples (+0.8%) leading materials (+0.4%) and energy (+0.3%). On the flipside, industrials (-1.0%), financials (-0.9%), and health care (-0.8%) ended with the largest losses. WTI crude ticked off its low as it ended the day with a loss of 0.2% ($48.65/bbl). Volume were in line with average at 923mil shares. US After Hours ORIG +34%, AMAT +8%, DRYS -12%, AXAS -8% following earnings/guidance. Asiam Equity mkts edging higher despite modest losses in the US. As Japan begins its G7 summit of finance leaders, early reports suggest attendees looking for a more balanced approach to sustainable economic growth - stating that monetary policy alone will not lead to recovery. G7 Leaders also expressed concern over risks associated with Brexit, even with the latest polls suggesting the momentum is with the Stay camp.
