Ten of eleven sectors finished Monday's session in the red. The energy sector (+0.3%) was the lone winner. The top spot on the leaderboard has been an elusive one for the energy sector, which remains in last place in the 2017 sector standings with a year-to-date loss of 5.2%.

US After Hours MEET +19% following earnings/guidance/acquisition news, DISH +5% to join S&P 500... CASY -4% following earnings/guidance, several names lower following offerings. Nikkei225 put in a modest drop as USD/JPY sank back below ¥114. AUD/USD was also volatile, with RBA delivering a modest upgrade of economic conditions, but not enough to materially shift expectations for a rate hike this year.
