>>> What to look at today - 24th of January 2019

Asian equities mostly climbed Thursday as investors awaited fresh developments on U.S.-China trade talks and signals on how deep the global economic slowdown will be. The dollar ticked higher and the yen retreated.
Investors continue to operate in a drought of data on the U.S. economy thanks to the partial federal government shutdown, which a top White House adviser said could see growth come to a halt this quarter. The yuan held overnight gains before key trade talks next week. Chinese and Korean shares posted the biggest gains while those in Japan and Hong Kong were more muted. Futures signaled a tepid start for the European and U.S. sessions. Ten-year Treasury yields held within their recent range.
