>>> What to look at today - 19th of December 2018

Asian stocks traded mixed, with investors bracing for Wednesday’s Federal Reserve policy decision against the backdrop of recent turmoil in global markets.
The yield on benchmark Japanese bonds slipped to within striking distance of zero percent before a rapid turnaround as a surge in demand for futures triggered a margin call. Stocks in Japan underperformed amid a disappointing market debut for SoftBank Group’s Japanese telecom business. Shares also fell in China and Australia, while those in Hong Kong fluctuated.
Futures on the S&P 500 Index climbed after a volatile session for U.S. equities that saw stocks end flat. European futures were lower. Earnings after hours from FedEx stoked doubts about the strength of global trade, with the shares dropping 6 percent after the company cut its profit forecast just three months after raising it. Crude oil was steady below $47 a barrel. The dollar fell against most G-10 peers. Treasuries ticked higher.
