FOMC didn't give real news infos to the market, Fed favors staying on a path of gradual rate hikes, although there was growing concern that the factors keeping a lid on inflation may not be transitory after all. technology sector (+0.5%) finished ahead of the broader market on Wednesday, thanks in large part to mega-cap names like Alphabet (GOOGL 1005.65, +17.85),Facebook (FB 172.74, +1.15), and Apple (AAPL 156.55, +0.65), which added 1.8%, 0.7%, and 0.4%, respectively. GE lower after JPM dwg. Financials -0.1% before numbers. US Afetr Hours JILL -37%, NSTG -10%, HAWK -7% following earnings/guidance, ACLS +5% and NMIH +4% to join S&P SmallCap 600, several biotechs on the move. Asian markets opened mostly higher. China markets remains muted ahead of next week’s Communist Party congress, while as expected Nikkei closed at a 20-yr high yesterday. China Govt said to be pushing some of the large tech firms to give the Govt a stake in the company and a direct role in corporate decisions. Internet regulators have discussed taking 1% stakes in Tencent, Weibo, Youku Tudou and Alibaba.
