We previously suggested that a deal for Gemalto in terms of a sale was imminent. Further flesh is added to the bone today in the form of Oracle being rumoured as a bidder, with Goldman Sachs and Moelis & Co. involved as advisers. Clearly, both of these advisers are usually involved in the biggest and best of deals.
Oracle being in the fray, along side other lesser players would suggest there is a greater chance of a €70 plus takeover, given the U.S. giant’s financial firepower.
