The monthly OPEC, EIA and IEA oil reports are coming out this week, starting tomorrow- expect more volatility in oilEvery month, there are three monthly oil reports that come out that are very important to the energy markets. These reports come from OPEC, the U.S. Department of Energy's research arm, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) and the Paris-based International Energy Agency (IEA), which was formed during the 1973-1974 oil crisis.
This week these three monthly oil reports will be coming out, so typically, we would see more volatility in the oil markets as a result of this. Following are the three report to come out:
- On Tuesday, June 12 the monthly OPEC and EIA reports will be released
- On Wednesday, June 13, the monthly IEA report will be released
Of course, we also have the weekly API oil storage data coming out on Tuesday at around 4:30pm ET and the weekly EIA oil storage data coming out on Wednesday 10:30am ET.
