Listed French TV group TF1 [EPA: TFI], denied market rumours of a “major” M&A deal with Italian competitor Mediaset [BIT: MS], French daily Les Echos reported. The paper did not cite a source for the information or give further details. Shares in TF1 rose by 4.96% on news of the denial.
