Majority shareholders in the Spanish cable company Ono are in talks to sell the company to the listed UK telecommunications company Vodafone, reported Expansion.
According to the Spanish-language report, which cited people with knowledge of the situation, CCMP,Providence, Thomas H. Lee and Quadrangle, which together own 54.4% of Ono, are exploring a sale to Vodafone, while, at the same time, preparing Ono for an initial public offering this spring. This dual track process is designed to maximise the asking price, the report said.
