Nokia Solutions and Networks could look to acquire Alcatel's wireless unit or Juniper Networks
Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN), the Finnish telecoms equipment company, could be interested in acquiring Alcatel-Lucent’s wireless devices business or the telco equipment company Juniper Networks, Helsingin Sanomat reported.
The unsourced Finnish-language analysis item said NSN will likely need to invest in new business areas, and the French and California assets, respectively, could be possible acquisition targets.
However, the company is fully aware about how difficult combining businesses can be. It remains to be seen what sort of strategic moves the company is prepared to make to grow its business, it said.
