Nokia in talks with several buyers over ASN (translated)

The Finnish network equipment company Nokia [HEL:NOKIA] is in discussions with several companies over the sale of Alcatel Submarine Networks Unit (ASN), according to Taloussanomat.
The Finnish-language piece cited a newswire report, which in turn had interviewed Nokia French business director Thierry Boisnon.
According to Boisnon, the company has not yet made final decisions, but said there are several buyers and the discussions have already progressed well.
Some of ASN is far from the core business of the company, especially when telecommunications is developing more and more in the digital direction, Boisnon added.
