Noble and Delek planning to drop Block 12, keep Aphrodite
Noble Energy and Delek Group will be handing back their rights in the Cypriot Block 12 to the Government of Cyprus, according to a report in Globes.
The report noted, based on unidentified sources, that the companies are however planning to keep rights at the Aphrodite field, which falls within Block 12.
Noble Energy and Cyprus Shell each have 35% stakes whereas Delek Drilling and Avner Oil each have 15% stakes in the Aphrodite field, which has natural gas reserves of 125bn cubic metres, besides condensates of 9m barrels.
