Mediaset and Sky enter into negotiations over Mediaset Premium - report (translated)

Mediaset [BIT: MS], an Italian media group, and Sky [LON: SKY], have entered negotiations over selling TV subsidiary Mediaset Premium to Sky , Italian-language daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported. The report citing financial sources said that talks are entering a more intense period as differences over the valuation of Mediaset Premium have narrowed.
The report said that it was possible a deal could be reached in the near future.
As previously reported, Mediaset's owner Fininvest is asking Vivendi [EPA:VIV] for damages of EUR 570m for its failure to purchase Mediaset Premium.
