Greece to transfer six state-run companies to new 'super privatisation fund' (translated)

The Greek government is expected to submit an omnibus draft law to parliament today, 23 September, Kathimerini reported, citing the government.
The Greek-language report said that the law contains six state-run utilities and companies whose publicly owned shares will be transferred to a new holding company (super privatisation fund).
The six above-mentioned companies are the Public Power Corporation (PPC), the Athens Water and Sewage Company(EYDAP), the Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Company (EYATH), the Hellenic Vehicle Industry, the Attiko Metro and theBuildings Infrastructure, the report added.
The Hellenic Aerospace Industry was removed from the list by the government due to state security reasons, the report said.
IPTO (ADMIE), the power grid operator, was also on the list but its privatisation process is too complex and will be done gradually, the report added.
The privatisation of the state-run companies is among the prior actions that Greece must implement to unlock the next tranche of EUR 2.8bn of the Greek bailout program, the report added.
