Ramping up production of its experimental coronavirus drug Remdesivir
- Gilead now has 1.5M individual doses of remdesivir, enough to supply more than 140K patients; targets producing enough doses for 500K patients by Oct, and another 500K by year end.
- Gliead is making the drug for free through clinical trials and special programs with hospitals and doctors who can apply for access.
