European Commission to ban proprietary trading in big banks - Süddeutsche Zeitung
- Citing the EC's preliminary draft, Süddeutsche reports that the EC is looking to split risky investment banking from customer business in banks. The regulation is expected to affect 29 big banks across Europe and be implemented in March 2020. Smaller institutions may continue proprietary trading.
