French energy group Engie [EPA:ENGI] is understood to be holding discussions with peer Total [EPA:FP] regarding the potential sale of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) operations.
An unsourced report from French newsletter La Lettre de L’Expansion claimed that a deal could be reached within the next few weeks.
The report noted that Engie is the largest LNG importer in Europe with 14 LNG carriers and three LNG terminals in France.
