Altice Portugal eyes buys, partnerships in 2019

Altice Portugal is looking at several potential acquisitions and partnerships in Portugal where its parent company Alice Europe [ATCA;AS] failed to buy Media Capital [ELI:MCP] last year from Prisa [BME:PRS], reported Lusa.

The Portuguese state news service cited Alexandre Fonseca, CEO of Altice Portugal, as saying his firm is focused on acquiring content in 2019 and this will be done via a number of methods. Fonseca said both acquisitions of Portuguese media firms and partnerships are on the cards but declined to reveal any potential targets.
