Akzo Nobel to decide early next year on sale or IPO of specialty chemicals division
Dutch chemicals business Akzo Nobel [AMS:AKZA] will decide in early 2018 whether it will sell its special chemicals division in a private deal or through a listing, the company's new CEO said in De Telegraaf.
At present the company does not have a preference between the 2 options, Thierry Vanlancker said.
There is significant interest for the unit, the CEO remarked, both from private equity groups as well as strategic players.
