Acciona in talks with ContourGlobal to sell solar thermal plants business valued at EUR 1.5bn
ContourGlobal plc [LON: GLO] the UK owner and operator of contracted wholesale power generation businesses, is in talks to acquire Spanish construction and energy group Acciona's [BME:ANA] solar thermal plants business, ElEconomista reported. The business is valued at about EUR 1.5bn, according to the report.
Acciona has informed its workforce about the negotiations, which were launched last year, the Spanish-language business paper said.
Acciona’s five Spanish plants have a joint investment of more than EUR 1.2bn; they have created 1,750 jobs in the construction phase and 150 permanent jobs to operate them.
